2025 UCHSF 1st TEAM DEFENSE

UCHSF DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, SCC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR, ALL-SCC, registered 73 stops with 22 of them being solo tackles. 16 tackles for a loss. Led Union Co. with 11 sacks. Was named UCHSF Player of the Week after 6 tackle 3 sack playoff win over Lake Norman. A season high 11 stops and forced a fumble that resulted in a TD vs. Grimsley. Had 10.5 stops in playoff win over Independence. Had 7.5 tackles in win over Piedmont. Had 6 tackles along with 2 sacks and caught a TD on offense in win over Marvin Ridge. Helped lead Weddington to a 12-2 record, a SCC title and into the FINAL-4 of the state playoffs. Committed to South Carolina to continue his football & academic career.

ALL-SCC, registered 62.5 stops with 19 of them being solo tackles. Racked up 20 tackles for a loss. Season high 8 stops vs. Charlotte Catholic. Notched 2.5 sacks for the Warriors. Had 6.5 tackles in playoff win over Independence. Blocked an XTP and forced 2 fumbles. Part of the Weddington defense that was named UCHSF Player of the Week for Week 8. A leader of the Warrior defense that gave up just 7.7 pts per game and recorded including 4 shutouts. Helped lead Weddington to a 12-2 record, a SCC title and to the FINAL-4 of the state playoffs. Joined his brother and committed to South Carolina to continue his football & academic career.

All-SCC, registered 81 tackles including 35 solo stops along with 12 tackles for loss. Season high 12 stops vs. Piedmont. Registered 11 tackles vs. Weddington. Finished the 2025 season with 6 sacks & 10 tackles for a loss in 2025. Had a forced fumbles & recovered a fumble in ‘25. A leader of the Spartan defense that gave up 14.2 pts per game. Helped the Spartans to an 9-4 record and into the 4th round of the state playoffs.

ALL-SCC, finished with 8.5 sacks for the Mavericks. Racked up 53 tackles including 31solo stops. Had a season high 13 tackle and 3 sacks in the win over Piedmont. Caused 2 fumbles and recovered 1. Scored 2 rushing TDs on offense for the Mavericks. Selected to play in the NC/SC Shrine Bowl. A leader on the Maverick defense that gave up 23.6 pts per game. Is headed to App State to continue his football and academic career. Helped lead Marvin Ridge to a 6-6 record, and into the 2nd round of the state playoffs.

ALL-SCC, registered 86 stops with 51 being solo leading the Panther defense. Had a career high 15 tackles vs. Montgomery Central. Recorded 2 sacks & 2 interceptions on the season. Forced a fumble & recovered a fumble. Played receiver on offense and had 18 receptions for 281 yards and 1 TD. A leader on the Panther defense that helped lead Piedmont to a 2-8 record in 2025.

ALL-ROCKY RIVER, Led the Yellow Jackets with 53 tackles, 37 were solo stops. Had 10+ tackles in game twice. Had a sack vs. Fairmount. On offense ran for 113 yards on 20 carries. Scored 2 2-point conversions for Forest Hills. Helped lead Forest Hills to a 9-3 record and into the 2nd round of the state playoffs.

ALL-SCC, recorded 54 tackles with 30 were solo stops. Had 3 interceptions on the season (vs. Porter Ridge, AK & Ashbrook). Registered a season high 7+ tackles in a game 5 times. Forced 3 fumbles for the Mavericks. Had 342 all-purpose yards. Scored a TD on offense in 26-7 win over Cox Mill. A leader on the Maverick defense that gave up 23.6 pts per game. On offense finished the 2025 season with 21 catches for 316 yards and 5 TDs. Had a season high 6 receptions in a game twice (vs. Parkwood & Fairmont). Picked up a fumble and took it in for a TD in 21-17 win over Cuthbertson. Helped lead Forest Hills to a 9-3 record, a Rocky River title and to the 2nd round of the state playoffs.

ALL-SCC, Tied for the lead in Union Co. with 5 interceptions (all 5 vs. SCC opponents). Racked up 19 stops on defense with 7 of them solo tackles. Had 4 tackles in a game twice. Had a “PICK-6” for a 99-yard int return for a TD vs. Cuthbertson, had a pick-6 vs. Marvin Ridge. A leader on the Porter Ridge defense that gave up 21.6 pts per game. Helped lead Porter Ridge to a 7-5 record, and into the 2nd round of the state playoffs.

UCHSF NEW COMER OF THE YEAR. Racked up 1102 all-purpose yards. Scored 6 TDS for the Panthers in 2025. Led the Panthers with 37 receptions for 439 yards and 3 TDs. Ran for 237 yards on 42 carries with 2 TDs. Caught a TD and returned a Kick-off for a TD in the win over S. Stanly. Averaged 20.6 per Kick-off return. Helped lead Piedmont to a 2-8 record in 2025
