2024 NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

The 2024 UnionCountyHighSchoolFootball.com's NewComer of the Year is Cuthbertson’s Mason Iovino. Iovino was named ALL-SCC RB while leading all of Union Co. rushing yards 1220 and rushing TDs with 18. Averaged 135 yards per game and 6.4 yards per carry. Was named UCHSF Player of the Week for Week 2 after rushing for 145 yards and 3 TDs in win over South Mecklenburg. Set Cuthbertson school records with 4 rushing TDs in a game and finished the season with school record 18 rushing TDs in a season. Ran for a career high 243 yards in win over Ballantyne Ridge. Ran for 100+ yards in a game 6 times. Ran for 2+ TDs in a game 6 times. Helped guide Cuthbertson to a 7-4 record and into the 1st round of the state 4A Playoffs. Congrats Mason!
