2023 DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

The 2023 UnionCountyHighSchoolFootball.com's Defensive Player of the Year is Monroe's Jayden Olden. Jayden was named 2023 Rocky River Defensive Player of the Year, led all of Union Co. with 183 tackles including 113 solo tackles. Had a season high 18 stops vs. Porter Ridge. Had 10+ tackles in 9 straight games. Recorded 1 sack and 1 interception. Credited with a safety vs. West Charlotte. Returned a fumble for a TD vs. West Stanly. Helped Monroe to an 11-2 record, a Rocky River title and into the 3rd round of the state playoffs. Congratulations Jayden!
