2023 NEWCOMER OF THE YEAR

The 2023 UnionCountyHighSchoolFootball.com's NewComer of the Year is Monroe QB Kaegan Chambers. Chambers, a junior who transferred from Chesterfield to Monroe in the summer of ‘23 connected on 60% of his passes for 1612 yards and 16 touchdowns to just 4 interceptions in 2023. Was 7-of-9 for 212 yards and 4 TDs in 48-7 win over Rocky River. Led the Red Hawks and finished 2nd in Union Co. with 714 rushing yards and 9 TDs. Rushed for 102 yards and TDs on just 3 carries. Chambers was named UCHSF Player of the Week for Week 5 after going 13-of-19 for 162 yards and rushing for 2 TDs in a 28-20 win over Porter Ridge. Chambers helped to lead the Red Hawks to a 11-2 record, a Rocky River Title and into the 3rd round of the 2A Playoffs. Congratulations Kaegan!
